Agro Contracts Goes to California in the NCBR-USA Program

Agro Contracts has been selected among 10 startups chosen by the National Centre for Research and Development to take part in the NCBR-USA acceleration in California. In autumn 2026, representatives of the qualified companies will join the program held in San Francisco and Silicon Valley.
This is the finale of a multi-stage selection process aimed at choosing Polish technology companies best prepared to enter the American market and develop international operations.
What is NCBR-USA?
The NCBR-USA Acceleration Program is an initiative of the National Centre for Research and Development that supports Polish technology startups in preparing for expansion into the United States market.
The program builds on NCBR's earlier cooperation with the state of Nevada. In 2026, a California track was also launched, focused on San Francisco and Silicon Valley – one of the world's most important technology and investment ecosystems.
The goal is not only to learn the specifics of the American market, but above all to build relationships with potential customers, partners, investors, and institutions that can support further commercialization of the technology.
Multi-stage selection
The path to California included several evaluation stages.
After the first selection, companies moved on to the USA Online stage, and then to Bootcamp Warsaw – an intensive pre-acceleration delivered with mentors and experts on the American market.
The finale was Demo Day, where participants presented their solutions to the evaluation committee. From among the finalists, the 10 highest-rated startups were selected and recommended for acceleration in California. Agro Contracts is in that group.
Alongside us, the program also qualified, among others, Muotech, Panoptes Systems, Flowstaff, Melkens, Medalion Technology, Money Protection, Persovita Nutri, Feyenally Labs, and Dairy Biotechnologies. The companies represent a wide range of technologies – from AI and diagnostics, through industry and cybersecurity, to solutions for the food and agricultural sectors.
Agro Contracts in California
NCBR described Agro Contracts as a modular ecosystem that automates post-production processes in agriculture. Our solutions combine software with NFC and RFID technologies, making it possible to automate data flow between the field, the warehouse, and later stages of the supply chain.
We want to use NCBR-USA first and foremost to get a better understanding of the American market and to talk with potential partners in the agri-food sector.
California is particularly interesting for us because of the scale of its agriculture and its developed technology ecosystem. It is a good place to test how our solutions can meet the needs of producers, packhouses, and other participants in the American food supply chain.
San Francisco, Silicon Valley, and B2B meetings
The acceleration program includes a stay in both San Francisco and Silicon Valley. An important part of the trip will be individual B2B meetings with potential customers, investors, partners, and suppliers.
Participants are also expected to get to know the local business and institutional ecosystem and to benefit from mentors with experience on the American market. The program also includes a visit to the University of California, Berkeley.
For Agro Contracts, this will above all be an opportunity to confront our model with one of the world's most demanding agricultural and technology markets, and to build the first relationships that may open the way to a further presence in the USA.
The next stage for Agro Contracts
From the beginning, we have been developing our solutions in direct cooperation with producers and testing them in real conditions. The next step is to see how a model developed in Europe can work in other markets.
We treat Agro Contracts' qualification for the NCBR-USA final ten exactly as that kind of opportunity – not as a goal in itself, but as a chance to gain knowledge, new contacts, and a verification of our technology's potential in the United States.
In the autumn we go to California. Now is the time to make good use of the months of preparation and to build the list of conversations we want to have on the ground.
